Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security Technician to join our team! Clearance Requirements:
Must have a minimum of a SECRET clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
What You'll Be Doing:
This is a travelling installations technician spot, most travel will be within the United States however there are some overseas projects.
Maintain company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment Prepare reports of tests results and assessments of key electronic systems to ensure efficient operations Identify defects with various components and find suitable replacements Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment, including controls, power supplies, gauges, and sensors Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and multi-meters Pull and terminate low voltage signal and network cables Install, fusion-splice, and terminate fiber optic cable Read and understand installation design plans, schematics, and manufacturers' literature for electrical and electronic components What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience At least two years in electronics technology Experience with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), intrusion detection systems (IDS, automated access control systems (ACS) and basis networking Experience terminating alarm devices, cameras, access control devices and CAT-5 cabling What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Knowledge and Certification on Honeywell Vindicator, Genetec, Lenel, and/or Bosch IDS and ACS systems is highly desired.
Fiberoptic Certifications is a plus.
Experience on large industrial / government projects is a plus.
