9K a year 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago Summary Fiberglass & Gel Coat Technicians are responsible for repairing cosmetic fiberglass and gel coat damage.
They are passionate about delighting customers and achieving or exceeding the customers' expectations through timely service, done in a profitable and efficient manner.
Duties & Responsibilities Identify defects such as:
cracks, blisters, stress fractures and cosmetic flaws.
Lead employees within the fiberglass department for continued success.
Estimate repair times, plan for materials, coordinate jobs with management Grind out defective areas, smooth rough edges/areas by using appropriate power or hand-tools.
Prep fiberglass, resins, and damaged areas for repair.
Shape and smooth edges to match contour properly.
Mix Gel coat catalyst and spray or brush repaired surfaces; match colors.
Buff and polish repaired surfaces.
Overtime and weekend work may be required as customer service needs fluctuate Qualifications & Expectations 2
years of experience as a fiberglass specialist.
Maritime experience preferred 2
