GATOR BEACH is, indeed, the WORLD'S GREATEST ALLIGATOR PARK, not because of its 100's of alligators (though they ARE pretty amazing), but because of how our Gator Handlers' primary focus is to interact with visitors and these visitors return to the Park time after time because of the relationships that our GATOR HANDLERS build with them.
GATOR HANDLERS are taught how to safely handle small alligators (thus the name) and to take care of the alligators' habitats.
But, even more importantly, they also develop STRONG PEOPLE SKILLS while working here and, these people skills will benefit them throughout their lives long after they leave Gator Beach.
Once someone becomes a Certified GATOR HANDLER at Gator Beach, regardless of how long they stay, they join an extremely elite team which will always be a source of pride.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Must like people, especially little people (kids) Must be able to smile and laugh (a LOT) Must have no experience working with live alligators Must be willing to learn lots of stuff Must like being part of a team and being a good teammate.
High School and College degrees are nice, but really not necessary Must speak English (but knowing additional languages would be pretty cool) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Talk with people you've never met before in your life.
Know a lot of stuff about alligators and their habitats (and don't worry we'll teach ya) Know a lot of stuff about Gator Beach and Fudpucker's (again, don't worry - we'll teach ya) Be safe and follow the rules, while still having fun Help take care of over one hundred 'gators (and, a few turtles) Tell funny stories while photographing visitors holding a small alligator Show people how to interact with live alligators using specially formulated foods Show a genuine interest in people who visit Gator Beach Perform really fun shows and make people laugh, groan, cry, and then laugh again (and, don't worry, we'll teach ya that, too) Always be willing to help others (visitors and other Gator Handlers) Have fun with people (I know we said it before, but hey, that's what we do) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
Must work outdoors in all weathers (except during hurricanes and snow blizzards) Must be able to hold cold-blooded (but, really cute) critters Must be able to move around a lot for at least four hours at a time (without passing out) Must be able to stoop, bend, and stand for a while without complaining Must be able to carry up to 40#s of things (tools, gator food, more tools, scaly reptiles, etc.

) Must walk on wet floors without slipping Must be able to withstand loud noises (like when we have large audiences laughing and shouting during shows).
Must not gripe about hot, cold or wet weather (again, you're working outdoors).
